Orientation Programme for Parents
It's a thing of remote past when parents never used to bother about the type of school, the infrastructure it had or the facilities it provided. The inception of English Medium, the education imparted through modern means & teaching of Western ideas made the parents aware of this fact that every child should get chance of quality education. Innovations in the technology brought them ahead to the fact & dream of getting their ward admitted in the best school of the city.
Feeling the need of this orientation & coordination between school authorities & parents St. Edmund's Malviya Nagar arranged a seminar cum orientation programme for the parents on 22nd July 2017.
The seminar was addressed by Academic Head Mr. Dipen Singh who was also the host of the show. The programme began with the brief history of St. Edmund's & the introduction of the pillars of that school i.e. the Director Dr.Anoop Singh, Administrator Mrs. Manjula Singh with whose efforts Edmund's holds a prestigious position and is regarded as one of the best schools of the city.
Edmund's holds the proud position of being the first school in the entire Rajasthan state for using the smart class digital boards, first techno savvy school & launching a school app to help parents for two-way communication & keeping abreast the parents about their ward's performance, home work given & the events & happenings in the school calendar.
Providing the best infrastructure in terms of its labs, conveyance facility, Wi-Fi system it also lends its helping hand towards clarity by managing & running a mobile clinic van which provides free medical aid to the students of government schools & remote areas.
Highlighting the role of parents in teaching learning process Mr. Dipen Singh presented the AVEA methodology being applied in the school which stresses upon acquaintance, visualisation & experience the things in 3 dimensional structure, followed by assessing the things. He also emphasized the fact that the child learns faster & retains if he is taught about the concepts on the screen with 3d modules.The overall development of child takes place through well balanced classroom & co-curricular activities.
He ended his speech by urging the parents to join hands & render cooperation by remaining in touch with the teachers, school authorities for the progress of their ward. He thanked the parents with a note that school is a big community which requires involvement of parents for all-round development of child & which would continue ceaselessly.
